Breakfast at House Cafe

Today is payday for James and I, which also coincided with our first chance to have a lie in as we've both been working early shifts the last few days. I thought it'd be nice to treat ourselves to a big breakfast.

I've heard good things about the breakfasts at House Cafe on St Benedict's Street and I'd been there before for a cup of tea, it has a lovely atmosphere, so I suggested we went there.

We ended up with this mound of food! I had the veggie breakfast (without tomatoes, mushrooms or beans because I'm fussy) and James had the big breakfast. Neither of us managed to finish our plates as there was just so much!

The staff are absolutely lovely and they have some amazing looking cakes on offer too. Plus they do vegan/gluten free breakfast options, as well as loads of other sandwiches and soups. I want to go back and have their pancakes soon as they look awesome!

Seems like I'm slowly turning into a restaurant review blog! Any recommendations for other independent caf├ęs are always appreciated too.

  1. Have you tried Roots in Norwich on Pottergate? The owners are lovely and food is fresh and locally sourced, the veggie soup is amazing!
